I started Annapolitics because of a lack of localized political coverage in the Baltimore suburbs. There are dozens of insightful sources concerned with Howard and Montgomery counties, but only a couple in Anne Arundel. So hopefully, this project will be able to fill in the gaps in coverage.
My background isn’t in journalism or politics – I’m a project manager at a ad agency who’s been involved with political campaigns since 2006. But I wanted to create a community where folks could keep up with the less-covered political news stories in Annapolis and Anne Arundel County, and hopefully add my humble personal insight along the way.
